✧ Sixth Rebellion ✧ A Calm and Pleasant Life Is Not For Me [Action]
Closed to Han -
[After three weeks as a child, waking up as her adult self again is a bit of a change. She remembers everything that transpired and grimaces at most of it. The time she spent with Padmé was nice, almost like her childhood with both Sabé and Breha around. However, she doesn't reflect easily on a few interactions.
Luckily, she's always worn loose pyjamas to bed and she's not a very large woman, so walking around in the night gown she fell asleep in isn't too uncomfortable. And the fact that it's very early in the morning helps so that no one sees her steal from the guest room where Luke put her and into the room she normally shares with Han.
She finds him asleep in their bed and she realizes just how much she's missed him, despite seeing him everyday. It... was definitely not the same and she can only imagine the pain he must of gone through to find his already younger wife changed into a girl only a few years older than their daughter. Instead of climbing into the bed with him, she sits on the empty side, amused that he is holding her pillow while he sleeps.
After she's had enough time to calm herself, Leia leans forward and gently touches Han's shoulder. It should be enough to wake him up. He's never been a very heavy sleeper.]
You know, I might have wanted my pillow back.
House 46 Residents
[Hello, family. Instead of a cute little girl at the breakfast table waiting for food to magically appear like it always does, today you get a slightly tired but happy to be normal again woman. Enjoy the slight normalcy as she attempts to drink a cup of coffee and make pancakes for everyone without burning them.]
Around the village -
[Despite her lovely little Shift, Leia is going about her business as if things over the last three weeks haven't changed. She stops off at the Library to return some books she borrowed. She visits both Seventh Heaven and the cafe that Helios runs above it to check in with her former cooking instructors. She makes a stop at the smithy to bring Han (and Sokka, she hopes), lunch from the restaurant. Her final stop is the Battle Dome, where she spends an hour practicing with her lightsaber, trying to get the feel of it in her hands again to not be awkward.]

And as soon as he's awake, he knows that voice. He looks at her, just to be sure. That things were really back to what passed for normal here. Relief washes over him, no doubt visibly, as he realizes it's true.]
Leia.
no subject
I can't imagine how odd the last few weeks have been for you. And lonely.
[He put up with a lot of crap when she was Shifted into her younger self. But then again, that was just part and parcel of life in Luceti, as far as she knew. At least with the Malnosso no longer needed and the Third Party only a faint nightmare of those who'd had the misfortune to meet the cultists the Shifts were milder and didn't mean that the person Shifted had been experimented on.
She leans down and kisses him very quickly, noticing the slight tightness of her sleepwear around her breasts as she moves.]
At least you've kept my things company while I was...unable.
no subject
[He looks her over, really taking the sight in. Glad to see something familiar. Not missing that her nightwear is definitely snug.
He gathers her up in his arms. Things would be simpler if people would just stay the right age.]
I missed you so much.
[Which is funny to say when she hadn't technically gone anywhere. But their current difference in ages was one thing. Her being a child had, by necessity, changed everything.]
no subject
I can only imagine. Although, I feel that you nearly calling me by our daughter's name that first time means that I was right about her being too much like me.
[Sleeping alone is lame, by the way. Let's not do that again.]
no subject
After all that, there's no mistaking it.
[He's not used to sleeping alone in a bed. Alone on the couch, yes. But in a bed? He hadn't known what to do with all that extra space.]
Let's hope for no more reminders on that front.
[He likes his snuggles. Among other things.]
no subject
I would greatly like to avoid being any age than the one I am right now, thank you very much.
[She is very fond of the way he's holding her as well. Besides, now that she's slept next to him so often, it's not really on the top of her list to go back to sleeping alone.]
I couldn't kiss you when I was ten, for one.
no subject
[Twenty five is one thing. Ten was another. For one thing, well, she just said it.]
Where kissing can happen.
[He, for one, is wasting no time in making up for the time they've missed on that front]
no subject
However, they must breathe eventually.]
I've missed you too, General Solo.

[action - smithy]
[He's not expecting Leia, so when the door opens to the back room, he's totally unconcerned. He doesn't even look around to see who's come since it's probably either Leon or Raven, right?]
Welcome back, [he says to whomever is there.]
[action - smithy]
I find that that is perhaps the most appropriate phrase to be used today. Hello, Sokka.
[action - smithy]
[Nevertheless, the voice is both familiar and surprising, the latter of which because it wasn't one of the ones he was expecting and it was one that he didn't expect he'd hear again.]
Leia? [he calls back to her as he turns around in his chair!] You are back! [He puts down what he was doing before jumping up and rushing over to see her.] You have no idea how good it is to have you back!
... And how much nicer it is to have you here than your child self.
[That hopefully will be interpreted as a compliment.]
[action - smithy]
She laughs at the violence in her young friend's reaction, but she's happy to see that he's no worse for the wear.]\
I assure you that I am very pleased to be back to my correct age. Being a jumpy ten year-old little girl is no fun. Especially when it means someone loses their hair.
[action - smithy]
Oh right, that bit. [Thank you for bringing up that painful subject. He'd almost just gotten over it already.] Look, it could have been worse. It could have been even more of my hair, and it'll grow back to the proper length in a few weeks or so. But hey, that means I don't have to cut my hair for a while longer, right? [Not that that's a fantastic consolation prize, but it is a small consolation.]
[action - smithy]
[Not to mention that she's been held captive by the Empire and its remnants at least a handful of times well into her adulthood. It's hard being Leia, okay.]
As for your hair, take this consolation. I once attempted to cut my hair as a girl. My aunts then purchased a wig that I was forced to wear until my hair grew back. In the middle of the hottest summer on record for Alderaan. It could be worse.
[action - smithy] 1/2
[Okay, that'll net Leia a couple hundred respect points, especially for mostly turning out okay in the end.]
Hey, if you think a wig is bad, you should try gluing on facial hair.
2/2
It makes you look way older, but it can be extremely itchy.
no subject
[When he mentions the facial hair thing, she can't help but raise an eyebrow.]
And you know this from experience, I take it. Why am I not surprised.

[gagtag]
Library
She does like to get off the farm when she can, whether browsing through shops or, as today, returning some books and hopefully finding some more. She's already set her returns at the front, before moving through the stacks. There is no specific title she is looking for. Rather, she browses, and, when a title intrigues her, she pulls it out to read the inside cover to get a better feel about the book.]
Library
Also, she's more than happy to return the "comics" her younger self seemed to enjoy so much. There's a memory of her and Winter trying to read something like that over the datapads they owned, but she also remembers the lectures they'd gotten from Celly for "wasting time with that nonsense".
She looks up from reading the summary of a book called "Dead Beat" when she hears someone move on the other side of the bookshelves. She takes her book and a few others of the series and puts them under her arm to check out later and goes to see who it is.
She's not completely surprised to see Padmé Amidala there at all.]
Mother, I do believe we should stop meeting like this. The neighbors might talk.
no subject
Leia.
[A genuine warmth in her voice as she turns towards her daughter, followed by a soft laugh.]
I fear the talk would be rather boring, and their lives must be quite dull if we are what they need to talk about.
[Her eyes move though, up and down, satisfied that she seems well off.]
It looks like you're back to normal.
no subject
[Leia doesn't miss the silent inspection and she huffs under her breath a little.]
Yes, I am. Much to Han's relief. Although, possibly not everyone else's.
no subject
You may well come to eat those words... [A smile with a soft teasing that lights up her eyes for a moment, although Padmé isn't on the lookout for anything bad to happen.]
No doubt that would have been a shock to him. I hope- well, that nothing too awkward happened. [Hello. Don't mind me. I'm just your future husband.]
no subject
I might, but it won't be so bad if it's only you and I who know I said them. [Shhhhh, Mom, don't tell anybody else, okay?]
I believe I shocked everyone with that little adventure. And nothing really awkward happened, aside from running from him because he was suspicious and then questioning him obtusely about his life back in our world.
no subject
Then it can remain our little secret.
[She knew that she hadn’t been certain as to what had been going on at first. After all, Leia had been a full grown adult when she had first met her, and then, suddenly, there she was, a child.
She laughed though, unable to help it, then Leia stated what she had done.]
Something changed your mind about him then?
no subject
Bit of a Catch-22 there.]
The fact that every Jedi in the enclosure vouched for him might have had something to do with it.
