[Since things at house 46 calmed down somewhat back in mid-July, Leia has settled into an easy, relaxed schedule. Well, relaxed by her standards. There were few deviations and distractions. Until the recent events of the entire enclosure turning into what appeared to be an university. In a way, she found the changes comforting. A happy family. Friends. Activities to keep her busy. Han.

But there are things about it that leave her unsettled still. How easily her mind was manipulated, for one. She finally understands on some level what Luke tried to explain to Han and herself when they were at Pagoda. It's not quite the same, not by a long shot, but to be given an opportunity where she and Anakin could get along without the baggage of their lives back home is like poking an open wound that she has been trying to steadily ignore.

She's gotten a little better at controlling the turmoil that her emotions normally cause by shoving it to an empty corner of her mind and pressing forward with things, but Leia knows that they'll have to be dealt with sooner rather than later. She's just not ready right this second to jump up and do that. So, instead of spending hours at the library or exploring the outer buildings of the enclosure, she's looking at the empty houses and apartment buildings. The rest of her schedule, she follows faithfully over the weekend. Until Sunday evening, when she has a few written messages to send out to some people before going home.]

Text to Sokka -
It was nice to finally meet you face-to-face, Sokka. If you'd like, I wouldn't mind sparring with you from time to time now that we are back to normal.

Text to Han -
When I get home tonight for dinner, can we talk in private first?

Text to Syre -
I find that after speaking to you for a week that I would like to get to actually know you. Are you available to meet me tomorrow morning? Also, are you skilled with fencing? I'd like to actively train in a sword art.

Text to Ami, Helios and Lee -
For the next week, can we suspend the cooking lessons? I have something else I have in mind for those times.

Honestly, I couldn't say. It varies from person to person. All of my students were adults, and some of them like Streen were in their fifties. They've managed just fine, but I can't give you a personal perspective. Either way, you're working at about the same pace as the majority of the new Jedi.

[Hm, that helps her feel a bit better, to be honest.]

I guess I'll just have to work harder in the future then. [She checks the time, shaking her head.] I didn't think we'd been here that long.

Got something more pressing to do?

[It's a legit question, Leia.]

Not really, but I'm a little hungry. It's strange what having a schedule that includes eating will do for a person.

[What's sad is that she's being honest. You should know that by now, brother dear.]

Oh, I know how that goes. I grew up on a farm, remember?

I remember that, yes, but since I really don't know what that means, this is very new for me.

[She shakes her head.]

Well, no, I haven't had such a set schedule since school as a girl.

Oh, give that a few years. [Luke smiles mysteriously, a little twinkle in his eye.] You’ll be up to your ears in meetings. And about as happy about it as an Ewok in a fresher stand.

[She eyes him a bit, trying to figure out what he's implying.]

I actually enjoyed that part of being in the Senate. Before the Rebellion. It just didn't really mean much.

Try doing that on top of everything you do here, and raising three kids.

Hah, yes, Han says that he hardly sees me. That being here with me is some sort of treat since I'm not so busy.

I'm afraid to ask how involved I am in my own children's lives, truthfully. He seems so happy.

The answer to that is actually not that bad. You're involved in their lives. Maybe not as much as some, but they do spend a good deal of time with me on Yavin's fourth moon.

Yavin's fourth moon? That's where you've settled down then?

[The importance of the place was definitely not lost on her.]

Settled down isn't the word I'd use. Set up the Academy yes.

[And there's no real way she'd grasp the full significance of the place. Not without knowing who those temples housed...]

[The Academy...The words sound innocuous enough, but she has a feeling she knows a bit of what they stand for.]

Han says the children all speak of becoming Jedi, among other things. With you for an uncle, it's really not so surprising that they'd want to do that.

Or have the ability to do so.

[Because, let's face it. Probably no chance they'd miss out the Skywalker genes. Today's training session is proof of that.]

It's as much you as it is me, you know. But they're growing into fine Jedi.

Well, we are twins. Sort of.

[It's strange to feel pride over people she's never met before, but to hear Luke talk about the children in the same way as Han does, to know that she's involved in their lives as more than just a figure that's there somewhere. It's all reassuring.]

I'm glad to hear it. Though Han assures me that they're also little terrors, which would definitely make them my children.

Well, that or Han's. Have you seen that guy? The kids do end up a little scruffy looking.

[Leia gives a sudden, coughing laugh.]

We'd just talked about that last night, actually.

Yeah?

About Han being scruffy looking still.

[And that, brother dear, is all Leia is going to say about that conversation. The rest is private.]

And then we talked about other things before we watched some of the DVDs you gave for us to watch.

[It's alright, Leia. He knows exactly what happened. The mixed blessing of being one of the most powerful telepaths in the Galaxy.]

And your thoughts?

[Let's never talk about that, alright? She knows on some level that you know, but she doesn't really need to think about that too much.]

Well, we've only watched the three set during our lives so far. It was a little easier. The rest we are tackling over the week. As for what I think, it certainly makes me appreciate that I have time to train like this, instead trying to shove a lifetime's worth of learning in a few short years while fighting in a war as well.
