Action - Locked to House 46
[The smell of rotting flesh was heavy in the air. The moans and groans of the injured and dying cut through the silence with a despair that Leia couldn't remember actually being so close to. All she knew was that she had to get the baby in her arms to some place safe so that she could help the child's mother.
Luke and Han... She'd come with them both. It was a mission of peace to help these poor people who'd been attacked by the Third Party. She couldn't see either of them anywhere. In fact, all of the people she'd seen from the Luceti enclosure were just gone.
And the area was silent again, aside from the sound of the child she carried. It made a low mewling, reminding Leia of a cat, that quickly turned into the sound of a familiar and dreaded ventilator. She looked down at her arms, realizing with horror that she was carrying a miniature Darth Vader that clung to her as she tried to throw it from her on reflex.
"Mother..."]
NO! [Leia sat up, soaked in sweat as she tried to remember the dream she'd just woken up from. Pagoda...a child...Darth Vader...The same nightmare she'd had since she'd returned to her brother's home in the Luceti enclosure.] Of course...
[She looked over at the empty space next to her on the large bed and sighed. The person who was supposed to be there was probably tossing and turning out on the terribly uncomfortable couch in the living room. It had been two weeks since he'd been there and she was starting to cave, but she'd tell him in the morning. Reconciling would require yelling, and she was still very tired.
With an exhausted yawn, she laid back down and closed her eyes, falling back to sleep nearly immediately. Only to find that she was stuck in a very familiar dream. The Death Star, Moff Tarkin and Vader all before the beautiful image of Alderaan seconds before it was blown out of the galaxy, along with everything she'd known in her life.
Instead of waking up with a scream from this one, Leia knew she had tears streaming down her face. She knew because the ache in her chest meant that her heart still existed. She was never going to go back to sleep, not when she could see the sun starting to rise out over the horizon from the window. So, with a stifled sob, she wiped at her face and headed towards the kitchen, looking for something warm to drink.]
Voice- Later in the day (Locked from House 46 residents)
Hello everyone. This might seem like a strange request, but I am looking for someone who is skilled in cooking who'd be willing to teach me and a friend. Perhaps two or three times a week in the afternoons?

[Her father had a beard for as long as she could remember, after all.]
As far as assuming the best of others, sometimes I wish I had as much faith in humanity. But I have seen far too much ugliness to be blind to the ill. I still hope that we can change but nothing good comes without a price and hard work.
Gah sorry
[He chuckles.]
"In the end, I fear both qualities are needed, but I would not consider faith in humanity to be blindness to the ill- merely an eye for detail, to spot the goodness that is there amidst all the suffering and pain."
[And with that, he pours two cups of tea and hands her one.]
"But I suspect, like most of your family, you'd rather not hear my rambling and lectures all evening."
No sorries!
[She accepts the tea with a grateful nod.]
Luke's always spoken very highly of you and Master Yoda. I never actually got to meet him. As for other members of my family go, I have no say over their behaviour.

[He doesn't comment on the first comment. It wasn't really what he'd meant, but ah, well. He takes a sip of his tea instead.]
"I apologize for my conspicuous absence from the household of late. We should have been introduced ages ago, I fear."
no subject
[She smiles mischievously.]
It's comforting to know I'm not the only one being scolded for split attentions while meditating.
And please, don't apologize. Saori and Luke told me what happened. It's only natural that you'd want to be alone.
Besides, there's no way anyone could have known I'd return to Luceti. It's not as if it was announced to the general populace.

He doubted there was any candy on Dagobah for him to slip into Luke's pockets, though.]
"And more's the pity- we could have arranged a welcoming party. Music and fine wines."
[He gestures slightly with his cup.]
"I'm afraid you'll have to settle for tea and a slightly meandering conversation."

At least I won't have to worry about poisons or being thrown into Imperial holding cells around here. It gets old quickly.
no subject
[As if to demonstrate, he takes a sip.]
"And Malnosso abductions seem rarer lately, which is the closest you're likely to come to any manner of holding cell. If there is one thing I might say on behalf of this world, it is... usually peaceful."
