Action - Locked to House 46
[The smell of rotting flesh was heavy in the air. The moans and groans of the injured and dying cut through the silence with a despair that Leia couldn't remember actually being so close to. All she knew was that she had to get the baby in her arms to some place safe so that she could help the child's mother.
Luke and Han... She'd come with them both. It was a mission of peace to help these poor people who'd been attacked by the Third Party. She couldn't see either of them anywhere. In fact, all of the people she'd seen from the Luceti enclosure were just gone.
And the area was silent again, aside from the sound of the child she carried. It made a low mewling, reminding Leia of a cat, that quickly turned into the sound of a familiar and dreaded ventilator. She looked down at her arms, realizing with horror that she was carrying a miniature Darth Vader that clung to her as she tried to throw it from her on reflex.
"Mother..."]
NO! [Leia sat up, soaked in sweat as she tried to remember the dream she'd just woken up from. Pagoda...a child...Darth Vader...The same nightmare she'd had since she'd returned to her brother's home in the Luceti enclosure.] Of course...
[She looked over at the empty space next to her on the large bed and sighed. The person who was supposed to be there was probably tossing and turning out on the terribly uncomfortable couch in the living room. It had been two weeks since he'd been there and she was starting to cave, but she'd tell him in the morning. Reconciling would require yelling, and she was still very tired.
With an exhausted yawn, she laid back down and closed her eyes, falling back to sleep nearly immediately. Only to find that she was stuck in a very familiar dream. The Death Star, Moff Tarkin and Vader all before the beautiful image of Alderaan seconds before it was blown out of the galaxy, along with everything she'd known in her life.
Instead of waking up with a scream from this one, Leia knew she had tears streaming down her face. She knew because the ache in her chest meant that her heart still existed. She was never going to go back to sleep, not when she could see the sun starting to rise out over the horizon from the window. So, with a stifled sob, she wiped at her face and headed towards the kitchen, looking for something warm to drink.]
Voice- Later in the day (Locked from House 46 residents)
Hello everyone. This might seem like a strange request, but I am looking for someone who is skilled in cooking who'd be willing to teach me and a friend. Perhaps two or three times a week in the afternoons?

Hello everyone. This might seem like a strange request, but I am looking for someone who is skilled in cooking who'd be willing to teach me and a friend. Perhaps two or three times a week in the afternoons?

We need to talk. And since I'm not armed, now seems like the perfect time.
no subject
I'm not armed was... not the most promising thing ever. But she wanted to talk.]
Alright.
[He wouldn't necessarily have picked right after a nightmare. But if it was what she wanted, he would cooperate.]
Let's talk.
no subject
I'm not truly angry anymore about what you told me. I...I'm just upset. I'm having trouble getting over the underlying sense of betrayal. You were the last person, aside from Luke, that I imagined would do something to me against my will.
[And that's why it's taken until tonight for her to really be able to talk about it.]
And while the how still hurts, learning that we get married isn't such a hardship.
no subject
You're the last person I'd ever want to hurt.
[Besides the children, but he's keeping it simple. He'd hurt her in spite all that.]
no subject
Somehow, you have always been especially good at getting under my skin.
[She fights back the urge to cry again. It won't help fix this and she wants it fixed. It's become too hard to hate him, hurts too much to be away for so long.]
They don't teach how to deal with this in finishing school. Tell me how it works out. I need to know.
no subject
[That's how they got into this mess. Him dealing with jealousy and fear so poorly.]
A lot happened along the way. Rancors darks users a bit of torture. But where it ended... Zsinj showed up at the planet and deployed a device that blocked its sun.
[he doesn't need to explain why that is bad]
That couldn't be allowed to go on. So I went after him in the Falcon. And made it back somehow.
[he still isn't sure how exactly. Or why the next part happened.]
And I guess doing that must have convinced you there was still something to me worth having in your life.
[of course it was over something that had nothing to do with him trying to win hr over in the end and just the greater good ]
no subject
[If there was anything guaranteed to win Leia over, it was doing the right thing without a thought to oneself. And Han did have a habit of eventually doing the right thing when he was needed. It was what had made her fall in love with him in the first place.
She gives him a small smile before placing a hand against his cheek.]
You're impossible. You do understand that, right?
no subject
[Usually by her. Right now? He likes hearing it because that's a normal thing to hear.]
It needed to be done. Not just for that one planet. It had gone on long enough.
[Also for worms but only Luke would ever understand the worm thing]
no subject
[She hopes that her soft tone and the way she's tracing the lines around his mouth soften the almost hard words. There are much more than she remembers and a part of her is angry at the even greater distance in their ages here in Luceti. ]
You smile more. It's always suited you better than that cocky smirk you used to wear.
no subject
[If it ended in not angry. Yeah, he could settle for too much energy.]
I have more reasons to smile. A lot more.
[He runs the hand not currently around her waist over her hair. In case she hadn't caught who exactly was a lot of those reasons.]
no subject
It's a step in the right direction however. [It's a serious breach of trust and the hurt isn't going to disappear because she had a bad dream and he implied that he's happy with her. And they both know it.]
I can't imagine this couch is very helpful for sleeping. You toss and turn quite a bit.
no subject
[He knows full well that it won't be this easy. But however much it takes, she's worth it.]
You noticed?
[He can't deny it, obviously]
It's a bit lumpy.
no subject
[She traces the dark smudges under his eyes.]
I notice a lot of things about you, Han.
no subject
[You don't get enough sleep.]
Do you now?
no subject
[The first morning she'd watched him, it had been difficult to keep from waking him up from whatever nightmare he'd been experiencing. She was still angry then but loving him hadn't stopped magically.
She can hear the slightly pleased tone in his voice after she says that she always notices him. It makes her feel good about her decision to talk to him tight then.]
If you were smart, you'd be trying to kiss me while I'm still complacent, Han Solo.
no subject
[That said, he's smart enough to recognize a suggestion when he hears one. If she's going to bring up that he should be trying to kiss her, he's going to try to kiss her.]
no subject
But she knows that letting it continue for too long would be asking for trouble. She can feel Luke and Padmé through the Force just as easily as she can feel Han. And her brother isn't as sleep as he should be. So, with some effort she pulls away from Han and smiles softly.]
You've been trouble since the day we met, you know. It's only your pretty face that convinces me to keep you around.
no subject
And he rather hopes he gets allowed back into less public areas in the near future. The couch doesn't have much to recommend it.]
Good thing my looks have held up. Even if I'm pretty sure you like trouble.
no subject
The rush of feelings she's experiencing is definitely not just her own. She can read him just as easily as Luke. It's a warm and indescribable feeling and her smile for him turns even more intimate.]
I love you, Han. Most of the time, you're worth all the trouble you cause. Even now, I think that.
You have no reason to be jealous, do you understand me? None.
no subject
[Too long apart. Too long chasing madmen with Super Star Destroyers. Not enough time just holding her.]
Everything's always been better when we do things together.
no subject
With one last kiss, she pulls away from him and stands.]
I have training with Luke soon. Why don't you go get some sleep in an actual bed?
no subject
[He's not going to fight her if she really means it. He could use a couple hours of proper sleep.]
