[She returns the kiss but doesn't let it get too heavy. While it is one of her favorite things to do, it ends up being very distracting if she has any goals in mind.]

Han, if, at any point after the second Death Star, you'd have asked me, it wouldn't have taken a surprise. [She manages a small smile for him.] Perhaps I should just return home and ask you to marry me. Waiting will be difficult.

It's a possibility. I can't say that I'm looking forward to going back to waiting for two years to pass before the Hapans show up and you do something drastic to prove your love for me. Something I already knew.

[She's just not ready to go back to all the dumb things they have to face when she returns. She'd like to skip it and go on to being married and in love and parents.]

Well, those are the important things in his book, so...

[It sounds so impossible to her that they'd fall to the extremes that they do, but she knows that Han is a horrible liar when it comes to her and Luke wouldn't. No, her future isn't exactly what she imagined it would be, but nothing in her life was.]

That sounds like a wonderful dream. [She can't help but feeling sad over what she's about to say.] However, it's incredibly selfish of me to change the timeline to do so. And I don't want to ruin anyone else's life just so that you and I are married earlier.

Patience might not be my forte, but I've managed it with the Rebellion. And it's not as if we'll never see each other, right?

[Just so you know, altruism sucks.]

He has his priorities

[He sighs. She's right, of course. She usually is.]

It's not. Not as much as I'd like, but what I'd like is an awful lot.

[Being right a lot of the time is boring. She wishes she were wrong in this instance. She wanted to be with him before she came to Luceti for the second time. Now, she wants it even more.]

Han, what you'd like is impossible, even after we can get married. You know better than anyone else that we both have duties back home, duties that we can't ignore.

[She touches his face, trying to ignore the ache she feels.]

It would have to be, considering sometimes I think you love that ship more than me.

The Falcon is the most important thing in the galaxy to me.

And that, Han, is one of the good things about you. One of many.

[She can feel the strength of their mutual affection through the Force Bond she established with him. And it's immense. So much more than she ever imagined.]

I hope you'd value our children over your ship. It's nice to know my faith in you hasn't been misplaced. [Not that she questioned it after everything they'd gone through both here and back home.] But I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me about the Falcon. Why would you leave it with me?

[Han can't feel affection through the Force. So he settles for holding hands as he starts heading toward the restaurant.]

The kids and you. [Nothing meant more to him. What could?]

When I went off to try and track down Zsinj, I knew it was going to take a while. That I'd be away from you for longer than I wanted. So I wanted you to be sure I was coming back.

[If he could feel it, he probably wouldn't be surprised. He seems rather used to this sort of thing. But the hand-holding is perhaps one of her favorite things about being with him. The small, unspoken gestures are the best, after all.]

So, your family ranks higher than your ship. That's good to know. [She smiles up at him as they walk.] There was a point when I'd resigned myself to being the second love of your life. How could I compete with your souped up freighter?

[So, leaving her the Falcon is beyond a huge deal, and she knows it.]

[He didn't used to have such a cheesy smile. Until he had someone to bring it out.]

The Falcon is important, but she's not a person.

No, it's not the Falcon that's replaced me as first in your life. [She loves that dorky smile. It's just so unexpected and boyish.] I believe the children have managed that.

It's not that I love you any less.

[More, it's so much more all the time]

But the kids... it's a whole other level. I never expected what I felt the first time I held them.

Han, I didn't say that you love me less.

[After eight months of being the sole focus of his attention when they were together, there was absolutely no way she could imagine that. If anything, he seems even more attached to her, which is just fine in her book.]

As a responsible, loving parent, it would be reasonable to make sure that the children are your first priority. I was with my own parents and I hope that I have that with our children.

Exactly. They're counting on us to keep them safe and teach them about the world.

[It's a lot of responsibility. But they'd taken it on willingly.]

I don't want to talk about the children tonight.

[In truth, it's become a topic that pains her. She can nearly taste Han's love and affection for their children and it leaves a hole in her that she wasn't aware existed until she grew to know her sons and daughter through him.]

Let's pick a different topic. [She stops and pulls on his arm until he's in front of her before kissing him, rather publicly.] Or let's not talk at all.

[Public kissing is nice. He doesn't care who knows. He loves his wife, it's that simple.]

Okay. How about how beautiful you look right now?

[And since she's been in love with him for a while now and everyone knows they're married, she doesn't care about perceptions.]

That's always a topic guaranteed to get at least half of my attention. But I was hoping we could talk about something more...intimate.
