✧ Third Rebellion ✧ [Action/Text] - Post Luceti University
Action - Open to all on 9/13 and 9/14
[Since things at house 46 calmed down somewhat back in mid-July, Leia has settled into an easy, relaxed schedule. Well, relaxed by her standards. There were few deviations and distractions. Until the recent events of the entire enclosure turning into what appeared to be an university. In a way, she found the changes comforting. A happy family. Friends. Activities to keep her busy. Han.
But there are things about it that leave her unsettled still. How easily her mind was manipulated, for one. She finally understands on some level what Luke tried to explain to Han and herself when they were at Pagoda. It's not quite the same, not by a long shot, but to be given an opportunity where she and Anakin could get along without the baggage of their lives back home is like poking an open wound that she has been trying to steadily ignore.
She's gotten a little better at controlling the turmoil that her emotions normally cause by shoving it to an empty corner of her mind and pressing forward with things, but Leia knows that they'll have to be dealt with sooner rather than later. She's just not ready right this second to jump up and do that. So, instead of spending hours at the library or exploring the outer buildings of the enclosure, she's looking at the empty houses and apartment buildings. The rest of her schedule, she follows faithfully over the weekend. Until Sunday evening, when she has a few written messages to send out to some people before going home.]
Text to Sokka -
It was nice to finally meet you face-to-face, Sokka. If you'd like, I wouldn't mind sparring with you from time to time now that we are back to normal.
Text to Han -
When I get home tonight for dinner, can we talk in private first?
Text to Syre -
I find that after speaking to you for a week that I would like to get to actually know you. Are you available to meet me tomorrow morning? Also, are you skilled with fencing? I'd like to actively train in a sword art.
Text to Ami, Helios and Lee -
For the next week, can we suspend the cooking lessons? I have something else I have in mind for those times.

I'm all for sparring with you. I could use the distraction. I could also use the more conventional training sessions. Though do you mind if we use swords instead of foils? Fencing may be elegant, but somehow I don't feel like it'll look all that threatening to someone while at war.
[Text]
I've never actually used a sword before. Most of my fighting is done with guns, to be honest.
[Text]
And you've never used a sword before? How were you so GOOD then? This place will never make sense.
Well, I suppose I could give you a few pointers. All of my other friends have been teachers of sorts; I suppose I could try teaching you a bit of swordplay if you wanted.
[Text]
As far as how I got so good, I'm not sure. I've always been naturally athletic and...Well, my brother and birth father are both accomplished users of...sabers.
[Let's not talk about the fact that they're made of light and the Force, okay?]
I would appreciate that, if you wouldn't mind. In return, is there anything that I could teach you?
[Text]
And I don't mind at all. Believe me, I think I'll relish having a normal sparring partner here.
Hmmm... from what I've seen, you seem to be quite the leader. Or at least you captained the team well enough. Is that something that can be taught?

[Text]
That's what my father used to tell me as a little girl. Men truly follow someone who they respect. And that's hard to teach you.

[Text]
And, you know, in stressful situations, it's not a bad idea to take a deep breath before you start. It gives you a second to gather your wits about you.

[That's definitely a proposal and a question all in one.]
[Text]
If you're interested, I have three days a week that I use for keeping my fighting skills up. We can use those times, if they're good for you. Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, between the hours of two and six. Not every session has to be about speech craft or sword training.
[Text]
That is quite the schedule you've got. I could probably find some time to swing by around then. If you wanted to do twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons would be the best for me, and we could play it by ear what we do each time? And then we'll just skip next week since you're busy.
Work for you?
[Text]
Besides, she's used to it. Too much downtime isn't really a good thing in her opinion.]
That sounds fine. All I ask is that if you have to reschedule, please let me know at least the night before.
[Text]
I'd say I don't have anything to schedule around, but, you know how this place goes. Weird things happen. I'll definitely let you know as soon a I can.
[Text]
Yes, Luceti is a place where anything can happen, and most of it isn't very good, I fear. I appreciate that you are willing to be as responsible as you can. I'll attempt to extend you the same courtesy as well.
[Text]
Oh, and believe me, I don't need the reminder about how often the stuff that happens here isn't good.

[Yeah, he's a pessimist. But he'll try to be cheerful, for Leia's sake.]
